Pie lovers unite!
We finally have a pie shop in our area!
It's hard to pinpoint exactly where PJ Pies goes right but geez do they do it with style.
Is it the atmosphere of their quaint coffee shop or maybe just the wholesome goodness of a traditional pie.
Either way PJ Pies is sure to knock your socks off with their myriad of amazing treats.
This is a sure hit and we can't wait to see what they come up with next.
This week we take a look at One of Area956's own photographers.
We don't really want to say much about him because his work speaks for itself.
But we had the chance to catch him in action and get a behind the scenes feel of what he does and how he does it so well.
Meet Marco Antonio.
With his smooth style and persistent dedication to getting the right shot, his style rivals those who have been doing this for decades. His vision is an off the cuff, spontaneous look into the lives of those he shoots. Whether it's a wedding or gorgeous ladies just enjoying the sun.
The Palm Valley Animal Center is growing and it's about time!
Over the last couple of years the PVAC has been instrumental in creating a safe haven for animals who were in need of homes. But times haven't been so great to those in need. The Animal Center takes in roughly 100 animals a day.
Most would find the story so far to be saddening but not the staff at PVAC. They have forged a path towards becoming a beacon of hope to those animals who very much deserve love and affection.
The Palm Valley Animal Center has created RGV Paws with the help of many others. RGW Paws is a NO-KILL Animal Shelter which will be instrumental in housing many of the animals rescued. With this new facility also brings massive changes and the need for adoptions. That is where you come in!
RGV Paws is on a mission and they need your help to ensure they fulfill their plan. They are set out to get as many animals adopted as they are taking in. For some it might seem like a chore but to the staff at PVAC and RGV Paws they see it as rescuing family.
As one of the staff members told us, "You see them there and they are so happy to see you, why wouldn't anyone want that in their lives. It's what brightens up my day when I get home. Some days they rescue me."
Known under his artist name Capt.SinO his name is Michael Gonzalez.
Over the last fifteen years he has evolved as an artist on both walls and canvas. Whether its graffiti realism abstract installation etc.
He lives to create and would rather die than to live in a world where he wasn't able to create. With no formal training except two high school art classes he has endured and now thrives to create on all surfaces.
The passion he has for his art is clearly seen. From painting on the sidewalk to graffiti on buildings.
Capt.Sin0 is an artist that clearly is hungry and will surely be someone to watch for.
